Daniel Potter, Custodial Worker I for the Mexico Veterans Home was selected as the July 2009 Missouri Veterans Commission Employee of the Month.

Daniel was selected for his willingness to step outside the normal responsibilities of his Custodial Worker duties to meet the needs of the residents. Some examples include installing a wheel lock on a Veteran's wheelchair ensuring his safety, attending an event with a Veteran enabling the Veteran to enjoy a special program, assisting the maintenance department with raising and lowering the flag and other basic maintenance issues during times when maintenance is not in the building. Daniel will be honored at a ceremony at the Mexico Veterans Home on July 13, 2009 at 10 am.
